What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

I think it was Soul Eater. I let my friend borrow my Netflix account and saw it in "Recently Watched". I was curious to see what it was about and got hooked instantly. After that I continued to watch a lot of anime.

When I was 12 I was scared to go on porn websites and figured out you could see tits on youtube within anime episodes so I watched shit like Air Gear, Elfen Lied, and a bunch of harem shows. I kept watching after figuring out you don't really get viruses and shit from going on porn websites so somewhere along the way I grew a fondness for anime in general. I was a Narutard before this but I didn't even know what anime was while watching it lol

I was exposed to anime at a young age with leo the lion, sailor moon, digimon, pokemon, metabots, etc. But what kick it into gear was cowboy Bebop, trigun and baccano. It was available at my local library (somehow).

I can't remember, but I think it was Sailor Moon when it was on Cartoon Network. Adult Swim, Toonami. Before the era of watching subs on the internet. XD
