What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

I'm an anonymous person on the internet, and my first real anime (other than pokemon or digimon) was actually Black Butler. I was rather late to the party when it came to age. A friend of mine came over to hang out and randomly started watching episode 2. I was confused, as they seemed to be speaking Japanese and she had subtitles on. But, I soon started to grow a liking to the plot. But it was only about 2 years later that another friend showed me oddly enough, a rather unpopular anime in Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, that I started to appreciate anime. I was soon down the slippery slope of watching at least an episode a day with a maximum of about 13.

I'm Amira, 14 years old. My first anime was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I had been toying with the idea of watching an anime for a while when my friend found FMA and practically demanded that I watch it. It only took 1 episode for me to be hooked and I've been that way ever since. Every time I start a new anime (same goes for any other kind of show), I become pretty well obsessed and get caught up in the fandom, even going as far as to attempt fan-art and fanfiction for most of them (^^;)

Anyway the first anime, I watch was pokemon: the indigo league, but I would say that the anime that made me an otaku was dragon Ball, as I remember watching dragon Ball with my older brother, and I even read the manga when I was in school.

Hello, my name is Samantha and I'm 22. I'd have to say that Pokemon got me to look at anime, but Naruto was the one to get me hooked. Way back in 2006, and I've been binge watching ever since. I'm trying to go through my profile on MAL and make a complete list of everything I've seen, but I've seen so much... I'll read manga if a series I watch ends suddenly or if there's no second season in sight. Never read a light novel for an anime, but I've read tons of other book series.
