What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

Introduction to anime: Sailor Moon and Inuyasha First anime I recall watching: Hamtaro.

jmm that's a hard one, I mean DBZ, pokemon, digimon, ranma 1/2 and the like where as a kid my first animes but I think the first series that captivated me fully was neon genesis evangelion ( I know what a cliche ).

Hey, Tommy from California and my anime that made me an otaku was either highschool dxd or bleach. I started watching both at about the same time so i don't really know which one it was.

i was always a big fan of dbz and naruto growing up but i didn't know it was anime, and i always thought anime was gay af and i could never get into that shit..... then one day I discovered death note...and there was no going back from that point on

Hmm my first anime was probably Pokemon when it first started. However the anime that made me want to transition from dubs to subs was Naruto (To be fair I just wanted to watch more and the subs were farther ahead XD)
