I don't think I remember actually crying at anime series. However, Welcome to the N.H.K. had a lot of psychological themes regarding social anxiety that I could really connect with. Clannad was pretty good with all its tragedy.

None of them really made me cry, but I will say the three moments in Anime/ Manga that hit me hard in the heart. 1. CLANNAD AFTER STORY, All of it is horribly depressing and sad...but the ending of it just hurt. 2. Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Oh lord...that twist just hurt me hard. 3. BERSERK, Guts having to watch Casca slowly lose herself because of what Griffith did was more of a long-term punch to the feelings.

Angel beats made me cry the hardest by far! Charlotte made me tear up for reasons, and Naruto has some tear jerking moments as well.

I definitely cried at Angel Beats, and I can't remember why, but I honestly cried my eyes out at the end of Da Capo (o_O). I feel like I've cried at a lot of shows (^_^;) but those two stood out to me.
