SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE THESE HEARTS

I think it's linked with the little hearts with every post? Like you use the hearts to "heart" posts on here. That's just my theory, though..

well they say the heart can be earned and saved up at the moment but they have no purpose at the moment except for what they are developing up for later on so you can spend them on that.

the hearts measure activity and overall "participation" - eventually (currently??) you will be able to see other peoples' hearts and that will indicate how much they participate on the site and/or activity of their account this would let you realize who is worth sending messages to/spending time with, rather than sending things and never getting replies/being trolled it's also stated that someday, the hearts can be turned in for rewards/bonus'/upgrades or activate other features, i'm relatively new here and by no means am i an official, but i remember a HUGE explanation of these hearts and what they could/might do in the future when i signed up this is a little bit of information which i remembered :)

I think the hearts will eventually be used for free users to get limited time access to premium features and maybe some other stuff. Eventually...
