One that got me was definitely The Conjuring.

I actually saw a little bit of Sinister; I believe about an hour in. It was fantastic; I like the lead actor, he's somewhat obscure, I think, but he's one I recognize and respect. Yeah, the film is pretty tense. I usually discredit the newer films because I'm just a cranky, ignorant traditionalist (lol,) I didn't finish because I had something to attend to. I still think Texas chainsaw massacre series is pretty good; it's real nostalgic for me though since it was basically the first horror film I saw(the 2000's remake, not original 74') Don't know if you've seen the original (74'," I think it's overhyped.

Sinister and Babadook are on my list. I loved the Conjuring, have yet to see Annabell. I thought the second American Grudge was WAY better than the first, highly recommended. Do you like jump scares, visual scares, or atmospheric???? (Forgive the giddiness but I love horror movies.) I would also LOVE to talk Asian horror films with someone. I'm always looking for recommendations on those. I would recommend Pulse, both American and the original Japanese version, Kairo. Watch the original first.

Yeah, I hear the original asian version of these horror films that get imported here are far superior. I actually heard that Asians do horror better on an overall scare. I like atmospheric the best, but a good straight up slasher classic gets me going, too. In that case, I need them to be at least somewhat atmospheric. I've heard of Pulse, and was actually going to watch the American version but never got around to it. I heard original is much better. Can't say I know too much about Asian horror films in detail, but I'm kind of spiffy with american ones like Physco, Last house on the Left, Hostel, Disturbia, Hellraiser, The Shining, and of course Halloween, Chucky, and those staples. I've really been off with my movies lately,as in not watching any horror, so I'll be watching Your Next and Rosemary's baby tn to get tuned up lol xD
