@Rinar I don't see how The Last of Us is scary, Fallout 3 too for that matter...

Siren Blood Curse, Resident Evil 4. Condemned. All excellent, but, Siren Blood Curse is what made me take interest with the genre.

Kind of a whole different style to what everyone above has suggested, but.... If you like/wanna try out some RPG Horror games, I'd recommend Witch's House, Mad Father, and Ib. These are all free games that you can just simply download on your PC, and they've grown quite a fandom over the years. They're bound to give you a few scares- as well has have incredible storylines. If you're looking more for some creepy jump-scare action, I can also recommend Ao Oni. The story is a bit simple, but it keeps updating all the time, with new puzzles, jumpscares and more. If you're looking for something to buy, the PSP game Corpse Party is also a great game. It's heavily story-based, with puzzles and horror elements. I believe it can be downloaded off the Playstation Shop for about ten dollars.

Kind of cheesy but I enjoyed some of the Slender Man games.
