dude based on your psych eval (the basic part of it) how would you define guyslike us ... I've read plenty of psych books related to both business and for manipulation (don't try to lie abt it not being used for this ... its taught in busines with this intention and it sucks). And also for personal analysis but I am not involved in any real studies for it. So you who are into that ... tell me how would we (yourself included) superficially be clasified as?

I have 2 of those books o.o ... The dynamics of persuasion and influence lol. I didn't mean otaku for us of the functioning society do not fall under that term. But us as people with a dynamic in tastes that are to be considered childish by mokst of society. The trerm "man child" when you are an adult male and watch anime and play games is often pronounced. Oh nice :) I only have those for my Attitudes and Persuasion course. I see what you mean... well, it really depends on what background you "fall under" for Psychology (e.g.: psychoanalysis, behaviourism, etc.) and how you would go about classifying someone based on their actions, history, attitudes, etc. For myself, being as objective as possible, I see it as more of a preference than anything else. Some people would say that it is based on psycho-social factors, such as the issue with pedophiles being theorized (by some) as a lack of cognitive maturity (due to psychological trauma, coddling, repression, regression etc.). It could be viewed as a psychological coping mechanism for some, such as those who don't have a large social life and spend eternity confined playing WoW or some such as a means of passing time in a pseudo-meaningful way that is much more to them internally than just "playing games". It really depends on the severity of the context, the specific conditions of the individual's psychological/biological state (with regards to their brain), and many other social factors.
