Do you believe in God/s?

crimsonsun2xseries
@Rainstride I was just teasing. >.> I'm not going to read that because I skimmed through it a bit and I don't know why you're practically attacking me; I thought we were having a discussion, but your comments are filled with the same blind assumptions you accuse me of making. You need your bottle, because you sound like a hypersensitive brat. @ Kohagura I think it's more so that they think it is easier to do good with the "help" of god, but you could be right as well. I mean, I guess, they feel weak alone, I suppose. Personally, I don't believe in true selflessness either.. I mean, maybe there are some truly selfless people, (what about that buddihst guy that dowsed himself with gasoline to protest britich colonialism in India,?) but there are the rarity, I'm sure.

Oooo I wanna get in on this! I don't believe in a God or Gods. I try not to overthink it but the way I see it is the world I live in is only represented by how my brain perceives things based on my senses therefore everything I need to be the person I want to be exists within me and no one/nothing else. If there was a god of my world, it would have to be my brain ;)

I don't think there's anything wrong with having a religion. I mean, if that's how you get your sense of morals from, that's all good. But it's always when it comes to a societal sphere that there's problems. Everyone's views on what' morally right and wrong can be pretty different on various topics.

I don't think there's anything wrong with following a religion. Blind faith Is dangerous though. Religion is ultimately a tool and any tool can be dangerous depending on the intentions of the person welding it.

I believed in what I see

i belive in what i see,but there is much that i can not see and have not seen. I can neither say there is a god nor can another conclusively say there is not. I believe in my particular perception of things. I see the world as a machine that was created rather than just came to be by chance. Could i be wrong? Sure could be. But, the universe does not make sense to ME by chance. I'm not so sure that we are the center of things, rather we are just a gear in the machine.

Ok let me explain a little if I see a religious person get cure of canacer or so and the doctors don't know why then I see it as sp I ritual stuff and so on

The universe is a machine that works in circles since nothing begins or ends thus everything just "is". Nature is not a machine but the logic behind it could be part of a construct. But then again humans are limited to knowledge of their own planet, and even then we don't know everything about it. The cosmos is pretty big compared to our diminute understanding on how things work. So thus god is born to explain everything we can't using our current perception as law. In the end we can't know so choose what you believe in by your own choice not becauseof familial ties or birth into religion.

I never saw religion as a big deal as long as it doesn't interfere or try to push into a nonbelievers personal life. As an atheist I try my best to not push my views onto others but at the same time try to make them understand that i can't be changed. Whether you believe in a god or not, it doesn't really matter. I respect all religions equally and as long as you understand boundaries you're not a bad person to me But no, I don't believe in god. But that doesn't mean I don't respect you if you believe in it.
