Who was your First ;)

Pokemon was the one that got me into anime. I really enjoyed the video game series so like yeah, it was awesome seeing it in that form for me. I'm pretty sure Sailor Moon was the first anime I have ever seen. I can't believe I didn't grow up watching DBZ. I've watched reruns for a few years now and it still seems newish to me. You know what? I didn't have a real childhood because of no DBZ. Nah, just kidding '_'

I can't remember since I watched anime before I even remember. I remember watching a lot of kids anime like Doraemon and Anpanman... but I guess I remember being fond of Sailormoon in my earliest memories too, since I had stuff like dolls, light-up voiced wands, and cards. I never really knew of the concept of "anime" back then though, so I considered it as a normal cartoon, and didn't consider myself an anime fan until probably Pokemon... which I was lucky to have known about it before it released to USA because I was in Japan at the time, at mom's friend's house. She had a daughter my age and I remember watching it on TV there(the Farfetch'd episode), and she had a cute Pikachu plushie I fell in love with at first sight. XD Then my grandma bought me one which talked when you smacked its butt... and I would bring it with me everywhere even in USA. I brought it to school a lot too, and other kids were really curious since Pokemon didn't release there yet. You know it's something kids are genuinely interested in when you're in 4th grade and kids DON'T make fun of you for bringing a stuffed animal to school, and rather seem to worship the strange animal. Fun times.

I think it was Sailor Moon, but that was when I was young and didn't know what was anime. I discovered anime during jr. high. It's was Tokyo Mew Mew. It's funny how my first genre was already magical girl from the start. Now, I'm into horror, mystery, romance, and etc. But I still watch little magical girl here and there at times. ^u^

Yu-gi-oh was my first anime but I just watched it like any other cartoon, not knowing knowing what anime was. Elfen Lied was my first real experience with anime, knowing it wasn't just a 'cartoon'. I watched it when I was about 10-11 and it left quite the impression on me, lol (thanks big brother...)
