John Kennedy Toole (A Confederacy of Dunces is the funniest book I've ever read! So under-appreciated too.)
Oscar Wilde (wrote plays and short stories, A Picture of Dorian Grey is beautiful, and The Importance of Being Earnest is funny af.)

Thanks for the responses, people. I actually am catelouging my books all haphazardly on Word by author, title, genre, etc. so, I'll check them out and select some titles.

Me too, I saw the show and bought 1-4 after season 1. I couldn't wait for the second season. The show hyped up a lot of sex scenes but the stories in the books are more epic. He is definitely in my top 5.
As for the others I love Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer and its prequel which followed later, Tropic of Capricorn.
Anne Rice's Mayfair Witch Triology... The Witching Hour I read when I was 12 and its still one of my favorite books today.
