What do you think of WEEABOOS?

Seriously, i was having a random anime conversation with a random stranger when all of a sudden he just insisted and labeled me as a "weeabo" (well honestly i thought weeabo was a chinese social networking site) so yeah, what are your thoughts about it so far? have you been called like that too?

If someone prefers a specific cultural I see no reason to judge them. Its not anyone else's place to judge someone on what/who they prefer. I prefer Japanese cultural for the most part. Then again my house doesn't have a culture.

Personally, I've been called a weeaboo a lot before. I don't thinks its a big thing unless you're an actual hard core weeaboo. We all start in that stage...well most of us anyways. It can be annoying to meet someone like that but hey, it's the newbie stage. Nothing we can do about it.

The problem with that word is that it has become a general way for other people to insult us otakus, due to it's bad connotation. i don't care for people calling me weeabos, and if someone loves everything about Japanese culture and anime, good for them. HOWEVER, my problem lies with those otakus, that have become so blinded with lolis and pantishots, that they can't even consider the idea that life isn't centered around anime or that it's not the best thing ever. (which it totally is but that's not my point). But the worst offenders by FAR, or those that are way past the point of no return, 'marrying' they're Love Plus characters, fapping to lolita hugging pilows... That's gross and disturbing.
