Is everyone here socially awkward?

Ah, high school? Okie dokie... There is no correlation between liking anime ( not to be confused with being an otaku aka obsessed) and ones ability to socialize. There are plenty of people in all walks of life who are socially retarded. On this site there's just a few who bitch about their pathetic existence and the the white knights here that coddle them.

Yep! I am very anti social in real life I can't hold a conversation for more than about 2mins LOL. I prefer to do my chin wagging online!

Im both social and shut-in. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I may wave to some stranger while I drive by or avoid society alltogether. Truth is I don't like 85% of society. Im picky with who I socialize with past a few sentenses. I prefer to have a smaller more trustworthy social group. But making friends is always considered. It usually takes a mutral hobby to care enough to acknowledge someone. And like now, sometimes I talk too much. If your socially shy and need someone to chat with Im always open to chat. :)

As introverted as I am, I came to realize that as someone who does something that requires some very rudimentary marketing skills (I'm a DJ and YouTuber) I've since learned how to notice when things get awkward, and turn the situation around and turn it into a way to break the ice. It is hard because by nature as an introvert, I naturally develop predetermined responses based on my own inner dialogue. Sometimes something takes me completely off-guard, so then it becomes a matter of "let's intentionally make this awkward then laugh about it" so I let my goofy or deadpan side show. I guess it's just a matter of using laughter, which helps a lot with breaking the ice (this tactic works well at cons as I go as the AZN REDNECK COSPLAY REPAIR guy, and use a stereotypical redneck accent and wacky one liners). I think the main point here is that what works for me will not work for everyone. Finding that sweet spot in conversation does take effort from both parties, so your mileage will vary. I have no idea why I just went on that rant.

How do you define awkward? If awkward you just mean not give a shit to what most people have to contribute socially and have no desire to contribute anything useful to them, then I suppose you could say that's me.
