Well, I live in the middle of nowhere, so the streetpass function is almost useless to me. I've had my 3ds for over a year and i can count the number of people i got on one hand

Whaaaaat? redsev, you have a 3DS, right? If so, Nintendo has been holding a lot of "national" street pass weekends in the US lately. If you go to a Nintendo zone hot-spot (usually McD's, AT&T store or a Starbucks), it will send your mii data to other hot spots around the country and the world! It's pretty cool to get foreign visitors without having to leave your current country.
