Would you date an asexual?

I would date an asexual. Why you ask? ;:3 Well, for one example. I only like hugs, cuddles, and kisses. ^u^ I'm not the type of person that like to take my relationship to fast. It only cause heartache with me in the end. :( Plus, asexual doesn't mean that they won't have sex ever or they are virgins. It just means that they are not interest in that sort of thing. Like if you were marry to one and you want to have kids. Well, your partner would be ok with that, I guess. :3

At one point I'd met a girl in school who'd claimed to be an asexual, but almost a year later I was the first person she said she'd genuinely loved, dumped me, and she later found out she was more like a demisexual. Personally, I don't really think I'd mind what kind of sexuality someone is, but like with what thesailingteacup said, I think some level of intimacy is important. Whether or not its sexual. Because then what would really make it different from any other kind of friendship? I think for me that without that, the line for what we are together would become more and more ambiguous with time and I might lose interest.

It's just a matter of finding someone who matches your level of sexual desire. If I was asexual I could find plenty of girls but unfortunately I have a high sex drive.

Yea, that's pretty much what it comes down to isn't it? My desires fluctuate depending on how much "personal care" I give myself, so I can kind of go up or down some bit, but my last girlfriend taught me that I crave the emotional aspect more so. *sigh* I just need some more time to learn more about myself.

The emotional aspect enhances the sexual aspect for me. My sex drive is always on high but I feel weird if I try to just sleep with a girl I don't have feelings for. But when I'm with a girl I like, I like having sex a couple times a day, helps me fall asleep at night and relieves morning wood. Plus it's a good workout when you don't have time for the gym.

It's like being friend zoned but with some romance thrown in. A constant sexual tease with no satisfaction. You can look at this hamburger but can never eat it.

Hmm. I'm not sure. Never tried it. In principle yes. I'm most interested in romance/mutual affection in a relationship. I'd like sex too, but don't think it's necessary.
