Looking past life after death?

Sounds like a psychological obsession that's becoming unhealthy. The limitations of life do bother me because there is more I want to do than I have time for, regardless of your belief system. I would however prefer to create for myself a new body but maintain the same stream of consciousnesses and memories (I would prefer a youthful female body that doesn't age). And live as long as I desire, probably anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand years. I'm actually doing research over time on several possible avenues to this outcome. The biggest problem (aside from lack of funds for advanced technological experimentation) is that anyone else doing related research on various methods of near immortality will keep such research secret for a long time (probably longer than I will live). Since almost everyone wants to live much longer, if such technology did come about, it would either have to be made available to almost everyone or wars would be fought over it.

Short answer, nope. I don't live to die. Life is so much deeper than six feet. I believe the key to immortality is to live on thru others, touch one person and you'll touch all.

Just don't think about it since your life does not run out. Care about your current life before worrying about future or death life. If you don't have a current life, you won't have future or death life.

There's only one certainty in life: death. I personally do not fear death. Sure I wouldn't want it knocking on my door anytime soon but it's something all people will have to face. I'm a bit lucky that I was born when my folks were relatively young so I've had a lot of time to spend with them than most people I can say about themselves. What I fear is watching people die around me. It really upsets me when my pets die so I can only imagine how much of a wreck I'd be if a close friend or family member does. I have my own personal beliefs about what happens but I can stay this: I wonder what will become of my life energy when I die... maybe it'll just dissipate. For a while I felt like each day I just get closer to death (which is actually true if you think about it). My new place of employment has a pretty sweet motto. "Work to live and not live to work." I totally dig that so I'll make sure to follow it to at least enjoy what life has to offer rather than just waking up to discover I survived another night.
