Lack of intelligence lately?

jikokun
+1 respect point for honesty. Nice incite as well, but if it were me, don't apologize for saying how you feel. Ever. I wish I realized that lesson sooner than I had. You should never have to be afraid to be honest. With fear comes lies, and lies have worse long-term consequences than with honesty, both here and in the real world. Apologizing for saying how you feel shows doubt. Doubt in yourself, doubt in your beliefs... this shows weakness. People tend to manipulate the weak, not so much like in the movies to kill somebody or anything, but more their thoughts, feelings, actions. Teenagers call this "Peer pressure" at times; fear of not fitting in or being "cool" or the like. Don't be that person. It's callous thinking, I'm sure, but unless you killed someone or something extreme..never apologize, never regret. Think logically and clear headed and don't ever let emotions cloud judgement. Be swift, be honest, be strong. Have confidence in EVERYTHING you do, say and feel. Don't let others have that chance to tear you down. That's my philosophy. Maybe you, and others, will understand who I am a little better now. Think it over a while and enjoy it.

That's the thing with good sites really they start of good then people catch on then.the ignorance comes in take ff.net as an example I.missed when anime had only a bit of people now that it's mainstream you have all types of trolls coming in

Too address a few things. Jiko with your above statement I agree honesty should be something we normally do without the need to be afraid of fitting in and whatnot. In regards to anime or the otaku niche being better when it was not mainstream. Im going to have to disagree that mentality while it may seem truthful is moreover to me a defensive mechanism. How you ask, well I talked about this awhile back. When somebody is bullied all their life for a niche or labeled as less then desirable terms for a niche. They are going to probably feel some resentment towards those that dont understand it. Now heres the thing when it becomes more mainstream you have people who may not be as interested in it come in. They might not take it as seriously as you do. I think a good portion of us are not going to be so welcoming and will try to take pride in our niche in our view by acting as if they are not one of us. However that just cuts off the niche from other people. In regards to threads not being serious or staying on topic of the theme. I can say that happens to almost any site that has any amount of social networking in it via the forums or whatnot. There are ways to handle that yes. But for the most part it requires either a restriction on how we communicate on the thread which will require moderators or you can try to convince most people on here to be more intellectual in threads. Neither of which will be viable long term, convincing the majority on here is unlikely to happen. Whilst the other could set the site up to to become empty much more emptier then it is now. Since like it or not having those random goofy conversations is partially whats keeping this site up. You also have to ask yourself what do the people want when they come to this site?

In my threads I always try to ask questions people would actual like to answer. Also I try to make them interesting.

@jikoshy I never doubt my words or feeling but sometimes people cannot take your word. Some can be hostile toward your word. I don't want a psycho person to stalk me because of what I have said. @anes15, I think is alright for you to post interesting question. It can make people communicate more.
jikokun
I don't think people will stalk you for being straightforward. 95% will ignore it and walk away. 4.5% will beat your ass out of ignorance (learn to fight.), and the other .5% are the ones who should be in a psyche ward. You'll be fine.

Last time my sister show me this show "criminal mind." I don't want to end up dead before knowing what happen :o. @jikoshy, you are right about what you said maybe they don't have a bone to fish me out. Even a 1% chance encounter a psycho, I wouldn't want to deal with it.

Once upon a time mary had a apricot tree, for some reason try as she liked she could not grow apricots. She then proceeded to cut down the tree due to it not growing anything. Later she realized that had she given it proper care instead of cutting it down she would have had a nice batch of apicrots to make her famous apricot dessert.

Bull shit... Everyone knows Mary had a little lamb.
