Physics(science) and religion ~~~

I am an Athiest, but i am not one of those guys that try to tell you that if you believe in a god that you are wrong. I just want to know peoples thoughts and imputs on either a science based universe, or one that was created by someone or thing. Im actually a physics student, i want to be a phyics proffesser, or failing that id like to be partical theorist ( a bit like Sheldon Cooper ;p)

My view: religion = physics we don't understand.

In other words: "I don't understand this!" = therefore it must be god People just lump everything they don't understand with the "religion" tag.

Well, i always find that when you ask a religious person how something happened, the answer is God did it... now to me that's a cop out. I mean people can believe what they wish, but can you not at least have some substance... And even if they use the bible, the bible says you should kill gays. I dont see many news articals about Christian people slaughtering homosexuals/bisexuals.

I'm agnostic. I was raised Catholic. But stuff happens to lose faith, I survive when I should've died a bunch so I kinda have faith.. So yeah agnostic Wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? Like right before you die, just whisper (I accept Jesus as my lord and savior) ya know, on the off chance it matters, you don't have anything to lose by doing that

If people actually READ the bible, you also see its an abomination to wear clothes cut from different materials or some shit. Basically its an abomination to wear cotton and polyester together wtf? I fully support gay peoples, my parents are gay lol

Okay, now you're the sort of person i have a lot of respect for, i mean im a bad person, i shun the idea of a god, but that's my choice, but keeping an open mind in todays worls is something truely amazing. So honestly, big ups to you sir! On a note, the bible also says it's okay to have a Slave, and beat her. Aslong as you never kill her. Yup -bible logic.

That's my view really. But every time i seem to leave my house (not often...) i get hounded by some person trying to tell me to believe, and that what i believe is wrong, i mean i dont go into churches shouting about Science. Telling me what to believe is bullying. Would their god be happy wth that?
