Bottom line man, no matter where you look you're going to find good women and bad women, it doesn't matter where their from. Nobody is going to conform to the basic stereotypes we've put forth here; maybe at first they'll seem like a stereotype but everyone is human and to be human is to be complex.

Wow, there are a lot of really bitter people on this thread. @tatsuro, Realistically people are people no matter what cultural identity they have. Everyone has their own little quirks. Statistically, I suppose the only real big cultural difference I find between Americans and like most asian countries are that in Asia, we're a more high context culture than America. So basically Americans operate more independently and put more stock in the individual than the group. Of course, even in the States you'll find varying degrees of higher and lower context culture, like the southern parts being more higher context and the northern parts, but as a whole the United States are pretty high context. Just something to keep in mind when communicating with people.

Some people just have a negative view on everything. I've come across women who'll love you like family from the start and some who will stab you in the back the second you give them thrm the chance . American women are all I really know and I have no issues. You'll find what you're looking for, there are plenty of sweet, caring and genuinely loving women in the U.S.It's like this, don't go to a bar and expect to find the love of your life. It just depends on where you look, I'm sure it's not all that different in Japan as far as that goes. People are people the world over, you'll find those that hate you simply because you exist and those who'd die for you without even knowing your name. Just keep your wits about you and use a little common sense when dealing with people.
