I love Grandia 2.The graphics and story omgawd.
Final fantasy 8 also since it school life,drama,romance,tragic,twisted plot,suspense.

I'm fairly new to JRPGs, but I like Conception II, Mother, Earthbound, Mother 3, Persona 4, Devil Survivor, and Neptunia Re;Birth 1.
I really want to check out the Fire Emblem series,

Ooh. That's a hard one. I really like persona 3 and 4, but Tales of Vesperia is also pretty awesome. I have played a lot of JRPGs but those stand out... Vesperia dominates in most game play elements, but Persona games take the cake in story... It's too hard to decide.

Etrian Odyssey III! Tough battles, exploration/mapping system, nice music, no annoying mechanics, no obnoxiously overpowered classes, and the sections of the labyrinth are really neat. The best entry in the series, imo.
