Time to bring something volatile to the table so put on your chemical suits and lets get down to business.
Please Note that this is not a thread to poke fingers at people who may or may not be shallow. This is a thread to understand the reasoning behind why people in general are shallow.
In general everybody is shallow about something even things you think are not shallow are technically shallow.
Although I would be open to say that there are exceptions to this but onwards to the questions.
1. Are you shallow, and if so over what thing?
2. Do you feel that due to your own preferences others are entitled to preferences on if they like you or not?
3. Do you feel being shallow is wrong or do you completely reverse it and feel its right or perhaps tread the line and say that its not black and white?
Thank you for your time reading this.

Shallow? Isn't that kind of in the eye of the be holder? If I'm christian and say I only date christian women, would that not make me shallow?
I think its safe to say that we all have something superficial that we want. I guess I'm shallow in that if you act stuck up, I want nothing to do with you. Honesty, weight does throw me off, however, I do have a ( to be nice...:P) ruebenesque girlfriend, but that's not what attracted me to her. That's not to say that I don't find her to be attractive, but plus size os not what id normally look at and go "she's hot"... Damn it...making me feel guilty now...Damn Yu!!!...Uh...You!!!!;)

Yeah exactly my point here is to give people a legit reason why people are shallow and therefore so we can somewhat denounce the evils of truth and love...nevermind I mean stop making people feel guilty for having preferences over something.
Since we all have them one way or another.
But yeah I am shallow when it comes to wanting somebody with a bit of debateful nature at least a little.

well, in terms of physical looks, I think don't think people who say that they're not influenced by a person's physical attributes even a little bit are being honest with themselves. We all have our own personal tastes, it's built into our psychology. I don't think it's wrong to have personal preferences either. I have personal preferences and I don't hold anyone else's preferences against them. It's just whenever you're attributing personality traits to a person based on their looks, like overweight people are lazy and unhappy, asians are submissive, african americans are ghetto, that super bothers me. That kind of thing is pretty wrong, in my opinion.

Xueli on the matter of that I would agree.
Creating stereotypes on looks is one thing that really needs to be brought up more since it is done so casually now. Random people will joke about it all the time its become a part of our society to make puns about other races appearances and then link random things that they do on one big basis due to those looks.
To be honest it has not went down much either, needs to be spoken about more. Of course with something like that its going to take time.

Shallow? sure, if that's what you call it. Like Jean said, I have standards.
No fat chicks allowed, no ugly chicks allowed, no bitches allowed. Period.

Wouldn't call it shallowness, just likes and dislikes.

1. Are you shallow, and if so over what thing?
Mostly shallow over peoples' health. Now I'm no health nut and I do enjoy a good cheeseburger or a lazy Sunday but I've got respect for people who respect their bodies.
2. Do you feel that due to your own preferences others are entitled to preferences if they like you or not?
People can be free to believe and feel whatever they like whether I have preferences or not.
3. Do you feel being shallow is wrong or do you completely reverse it and feel its right or perhaps tread the line and say that its not black and white?
"Biologically speaking, people are perfectly justified in seeking out the optimum mate for the propagation of his/her genetic line. Now, whether that propagation is in the interest of humanity is, of course, an entirely different question."
