Coffee In Japan

Gundam cafe is overrated(but it's good to try atleast once). Specially AKB cafe >.< but die hard fans still line up under the sun for that. It's hard to get in themed cafes. Most of the time because they're seasonal(up to a certain period of time only). As for the coffee... I'm not a big fan but the starbucks is just as normal as it can get, same as doutor and Tully's and other small coffee shops. Except JP starbucks have sakura flavored drinks during spring.

When my father was flying back from Vietnam after the war was over, he stopped at a restaurant in Japan and had one of the best coffee's he's ever had in his life. When he asked a lady for some cream, she giggled, probably because they rarely put cream in their coffee.

There is actually a cafe for reading manga and a cafe for cats! For the manga cafe you pay to read so I would bring my own, besides I havent learned how to read or speak full japanese yet. Id bring my cat though.

Also there is the squareenix cafe. The have many final fantasy themed drinks like a cloud parfait with a tiny buster sword and a chocobo cappichino.
