Ambitions, careers....or lack of?

I am ambitious but only to certain things. For example my goals which dont have to necessarily be career driven I am ambitious about.
Example I want to help others out there that do not have the ability to learn or educate each other as much as we do since in my opinion having good education is important and allows a person a better chance at life to succeed whatever that may be.
I do want to land a job eventually that is at least paying in the 2000 to 3000 range but I will settle for what I have right now.
If anything my dream job is to work for google but I wont put my hope in that just the effort.
If anything for career wise I just want to find that one thing I am happy with and it pays moderately. Apply some of my skills to possible freelance opportunities in the future just for fun.
Thats all I am going to say for now though.

A huge reason for why I am aiming for a good paying career is because my parents worked hard to make sure that my sister and I would have a good life. We never lacked necessities, finances weren't a burden to us, I went through college without having to take out loans and so did my sister, we had enough money to provide in cases of emergencies, and we went out of the country once a year for vacation. I wouldn't consider my family incredibly wealthy or anything, definitely not in the upper class classification, but I never wanted for anything. And that kind of life is what I want to provide for my family in the future. I want to provide the same kind of lifestyle for my kids that my parents were able to give me, or maybe even better. I will consider myself successful if I manage to bring in what my mother does (totally the breadwinner in my house), which is a lot by some people's standards but I view it as the minimum for me because how can I consider myself as a successful parent if I can't provide my children an even better life than I had?
