I'd hate to see you go, but do what you've got to do. It would be awesome if you could reason with them. My memory is quite poor as well, but I use my phone to leave myself reminders of everything. Works wonders for me. Not sure how feasible that might be for you but it's a thought. Or good old pen and paper. You're not taking off right away are you?

I mostly forget things when I don't want to do them to begin with haha. As far as the navy the ASVAB isn't hard I got a pretty good score iirc and I have a couple friends now that are on bases. Though it takes a while to set up. You have to take the ASVAB get a physical (because they won't accept you over a certain % of body fat) and you have to go to like a couple months worth of meetings I think? Then you go to boot camp for 3 months then you go off to the dorms or base or wherever for a while until you are stationed overseas or on a boat or what have you.

Ouch. I'm sad to see that your folks want you out of the house. Despite me not knowing you, you seem like a decent human being, with a bad case of forgetfulness. Nonetheless I hope things will work out for you, and it's great you have a pal that'll help you live in an apartment. but joining the Navy may help you in your future endeavors. Good Luck. I left home suddenly and went out on my own, its was rough I'm not going to lie I lived in my car and ate from the dollar store. It was a humbling experience and it helped me to grow. I as well have a memory problem that was a hurdle to get over threw the whole time but I over came and was able to get a good life. Everything comes to experience.
