Thoughts on Random people adding you?

Do you accept with positive optimism, or do you not, and find it really creepy? I myself don't mind, and find it a good opportunity to make new friends, as long as it isn't something as personal as Facebook. What are your thoughts?

Well in this particular scenario, and I speak specifically for just using this site I feel like just adding random people simply for the sake of having a private conversation with them. I'll accept random requests if I am not suspicious, and normally I 'tend to look at the glass being half full. I would imagine it may be different for women around here since once they join; it seems like they get swamped with messages lol.

Everybody has their own level of creepiness. If you want to invite a creepy guy like me to be your friend, you must be a good person.

I generally ignore the random ones on any site unless there's a message along with it. Now if I've seen someone around the forums that's another story. It would only be creepy if I were a 15 year old girl getting random requests from guys old enough to be my dad.
