Playing games for the story and lore who here feels the same and what kind of stuff in gaming has really perked your interest.

Can't say i'm a huge fan of story over gameplay but i loved the Legacy of Kain series to death. Absolutely the best story in a game I've ever played, well written and with great voice acting as well, i highly recommend it.

I personally like both lore and the game also that they should go hand in hand for me. Also I agree that legacy of kain had a good amount of story to its series.

I always loved the minimalist approach to story & lore within Dark Souls. I just love having to discover everything on your own and kind of piecing together the puzzle yourself. It also probably helps that the game is crazily fun to play and invest time into, so it's nice to just be playing and then pick up an item which has a small lore description on it.

I enjoyed that myself Dark Souls was a good series. However at the same time I love to be immersed in the lore like in elder scrolls or fallout. There is just a huge amount of different things you can discover in both games.

idk fallout and elder scrolls were good but id still gove it to legecy of kain all the games atleast connected in one big finale and the story was soooo good and the gameplay wasnt super amazing granted but in opinion the puzzles made up for it they were so dam annoying and it would make you cry and then you solve and cry more becouse the answer was in your F****ING FACE THE WHOLE TIME DAM THAT JANOS KEEP

Im not saying elder scrolls or fallout are the best just that they have a huge amount of lore in their games moreover elder scrolls. I know I probably will get hate for this by somebody who sees this series as nothing but plot twist but I loved the Metal Gear Solid storyline it was relatively complicated if anything that game series was all about story.

idk about hate since i agree with that without a doubt and im sure other will too i mean that story its own couldve sold a more then a million copies as a book both here and japan

I've always leaned closer to medieval fantasy games and I do love getting into the lore of that game's world. I also do need to be carried by decent game play especially during parts when the story starts to drag. Right now I'm playing Kingdoms of Amalur and it's the most fun I've had in a role-playing game. I've also recently played through some of the class intros of Dragon Age: Origins. The lore of Dragon Age is really dark and compelling but I find the game play really difficult to master.
