There's no need to apologize haha.
Maybe increase of UK users is due to site growth in general?

Probably more because of an increase in popularity of anime/manga in the UK. Because I'll be honest I've noticed a lot more people liking recently. I've been into it since I was a teenager (about 11) and back then there weren't many people over here to talk about it too and most of the chat rooms are US dominated. But now I notice a lot more people in the UK are watching and interested.

That's true, I used to go to uk anime forums because it was easier to talk to people in your own timezone.

I never went on there. Can't say I've really been on any anime forums. Mainly spoke to people in games etc.

I'm the same, I started reading manga when I was about 15, and there weren't many people reading it then. I only found it by chance when I was looking around Waterstones and they were having a three for two (started off with Yu-Gi-Oh, Fushigi Yuugi and Rurouni Kenshin)

I started back when I was about 3 but did not really know what it was fully till I was about 7 and when events and such were on it was by word of mouth and consisted of 40 to 50 year old men discussing Akira or Sailor moon in a pub for about 2 to 3 hours but again regional and close not like cons are now
