Yes I have, I am not going through the mechanics of debating like logical fallacies though and everything just a simple version to try to help with unwanted drama or conflicting views that turn into personal wars.

I'm currently in speech and debate. Logical fallacies can be a bit tedious and can spark a lot animosity when used. As long as people stick to backing up their arguments with well-developed points they should be fine.

Agreed although I find that if certain standards are not set for debating then it becomes more complicated to sort through whats right and wrong. Either way I myself am against said emotional discharge in debates there is no need for people to insult another to get their point made. Unfortunately Ad hominem seems to be one of the more used ones I see lately.

Well even in debate its hard to set what is right or wrong based on the topic at hand. A lot of people want to be right and in the process make hasty comments. Ad hominem can be a real problem if your not used to debates.

Yeah true what do you think could be helpful yourself on the matter?
Its one of the most common and its best to ignore if all else possible. Glad you have taken interest in the thread regardless since you are studying speech and debate.

My biggest thing is cohesion throughout my argument. Sometimes the argument can get a little obscured.
