A guide to debating

I usually would not do something like this but lately I have noticed that when we have a serious debate about something on a thread it turns into a emotional blaze. So here I am writing my own guide for everybody. Lets begin, 1. When typing out something that represents your opinion or idea try to explain it in a non insulting way. 2. When somebody disagrees with you they are simply stating what they view unless they are throwing insults out the door then they are not trying to hate on you but to share their view on the matter. 3. Remember a opinion is not fact unless you have the necessary proof and research to state that. 4 I know we like to be right but that does not mean we should simply have debates to play the game of im more right then you. Remember debating is to determine other views and if important to try to come together with a conclusion. 5. Everybody has the same value when starting their view regardless of what they have done. 6. Always be respectful of others view even if they are wrong. If they truly do not want to change it then accept it and move on. 7. State the opinion you feel not what everybody else feels just because it makes you look better. 8. Make sure too help others if they are being over emotional instead of fueling it and saying things about them give them a friendly suggestion on what they could do. This is all of the guide its not a long guide but it is there to help make a debate not form into a emotional fight of views.

I really agree with this man I literally just joined and to be honest I thought there would be alot of one sided arguements but thanks for posting this this is how I debate although I am very considerate of the other side to I tend to try and understand why they have the opinion they do and just how they feel about it thinking at it this way helps me to debate my opinion better
