@Kodu - Sorry to hear that man. I understand how you feel, though that hasn't happened to me necessarily like that. But separating is tough, I know. But look at you now, you have 5 years of experience (even if with just one girl), so that's a start for the future. For now just enjoy what you have in life and embrace whatever good things come along ^^

If I meet a person I truly am interested in I'm going to want to learn more about them and be their friend regardless of something like gender.
I can understand why some people have problems with these things; they have every right to establish who they are and want to be and I think that's always an awesome thing to see when people aren't afraid to be themselves.

I've never really made a big deal about this topic mostly because I have trans friends and Drag queen friends I have even dated a drag queen once and it never mattered if he liked make up and dresses he loved me and I loved him. We still keep in touch to this day. I have a few blogs regarding genderqueers, Bi-gender, and lgbt in general. It just doesn't matter. Some people make it a big deal but it's who you are and who you'll always be.

While I think that we "learn" to have certain tendencies as far as sexuality and dating because of how we are raised in this culture I've noticed certain differences in the way many men and women form an attraction and deal with sexuality regardless. Men have a much stronger tendency to choose a mate based on physical appearance (over personality) which Is reinforced by our misogynistic and materialistic society obsessed with beauty and youth. While woman can and have more potential to be attracted to someone based more on personality. (Although this can vary with both genders.) For example, I can have a desire to fuck a girl who I practically hate in every other way. However I have a much greater need to be emotionally intimate with someone before I actually have sex with them than most guys I've known. And once I'm intimate and close with a girl for awhile I always have the desire to have sex with them regardless of a bad break-up or how much time has passed (although I never bother to try). However a girls feelings for me and there sexual desire seems to be able to change at the drop of a hat. Same with female friends, I find almost all of them sexually attractive but I doubt most of them would consider dating or sleeping with me.
As far as gender fluidity goes I don't see an issue at all. I have the usual male biological tendencies but I feel more androgynous because I have certain feminine personality tendencies and aesthetic preferences. If I could chose a gender then I would be female. I find male clothing to be mostly drab and ugly. I love mini-skirts and belly shirts, thigh highs and big boots. But I don't usually wear them because I'm not a girl with the right curves and various practical reasons. But when I was younger I dressed up a few times for erotic balls and such and loved it. I apparently passed well because I got hit on by some guys who had no idea. My girlfriend had me on a leash outside an erotic ball at the time. However I would never bother with a sex change for various practical reasons and I don't hate being a male, I just feel I would be a better as a girl than guy if I had a choice.
I remember several years back when when bisexuality became (mostly) ok for the younger crowd and actually became trendy to the point where girls (and even some guys) would claim to be bi even if they weren't to seem more sexually attractive to the opposite sex. Well there was a backlash against that and around that time people started using more terms like omnisexual or pansexual to differentiate themselves (and I think to feel more unique) than the "trendy" bisexuals. But I don't really see the need, however now pansexual is the "thing" but I don't really see bisexual as having to exclude anyone but now people see it that way.
