Love Thy Otaku

So this has been on my mind since yesterday, but I'm sure everyone on here has felt outcasted or abnormal due to the fact of our interest in anime or other similar subjects. Basically, we're a community to accept and support one another in our love for the same weird things. So why is it that people can still be mean to those who are into what they like? I mean having the same common love for something should bring people closer, not separated... Example. People who may be more overweight that cosplay get awful comments for their pictures and lashed out at by people who make fun of them for not being as skinny as the character they're cosplaying. Or even people calling others wee-a-boos. To me, these slurs shouldn't be happening amongst us. I'm not saying we should all get along and like each other. I do however feel there should be a common and mutual respect for everyone because it's bad enough when other people who don't get anime are making fun of us.

Now this is the story all about how My life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air In west Philadelphia born and raised On the playground where I spent most of my days Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys, they were up to no good Started making trouble in my neighbourhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air" I whistled for a cab and when it came near the License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!"
