LETS TALK ABOUT DREAMCAST

Dreamcast was ahead of it's time and was definitely my favorite console, I still have it but I'm missing one of the cords so I can't play it anymore :[. Used to play Armada, Grandia 2, and a few other games a lot on there.

Saturn was ahead of its time, dreamcast just was a step up from that. Saturn had nights, which honestly is one of the best looking 3d games for its time. People praise FF7 like it's some kind of gift from the gaming gods, but besides for having a semi decent story, it was terrible. The characters were clunky, The So called original materia system is just a combination of final fantasy 5's multi job aspect, and ff6s Magicite leveling system.. The main character is a whiny bitch, who turns out to be a delusional whiny bitch. The monk is a stereotypical girl with large breasts, and skimpy clothes. Not something a brawler would wear. You got the bad ass token black guy, who adds comic relief, the lovable chick who dies, a teddy bear cat thing... and cid. Oh, some Indian lion thing. You have to inbreed chocobos to get one of the cheapest summons in a game. Ever. Oh. And some mommy's boy wants to destroy the world because him mommy is dead. Or whatever it is. OhOh, and the vampire with a shotgun. Kinda cool twist, but shitty as a character. The ninja was good for a laugh. Rage. I hate ff7. The underrated Ff8 has a much better sorry than 7, AND it had the best mini game of all time. Triple Triad. ♥ That ends my rant. Oh. My point was that nights came out before Ff7, and completely blows it away.

Never played Nights before I'll have to check it out, and people tend to overreact about ff7 a lot, sure it was a good game but it wasn't a godsend. I liked Grandia 2 more than I liked ff7, I also like the Wild Arms series more than I like the Final Fantasy series. That's not to say I don't like the Final Fantasy series...it's just that some games aren't really good and then there's others that are a lot better, the whole franchise is like a roller-coaster ride. Also didn't really like the fact that they killed off Aerith...she's the best healer in the game and then right when you start to need her most 'poof' she's gone...I mean couldn't they have just used a pheonix down on her or something?

I didn't know i started a forum for whining about rehashed arguments on the internet. I thought we were talking dreamcast fun here not every single thing that someone complains about over and over again until i want to smash my face into a wall. Grandia 2 was fun so was skies of arcadia i love being able to control an air ship and the cannon battles were actually amusing along with the changing of the elemental weapon >___< Let us refrain from bringing up FF cause that is it's own genre and you cant compare what fun you have with other games to FF because who gives a shit if you think it is a fun rpg then maybe it just is. If I dont have fun playing FF then it is not that I have a poor choice in games it is that I have a differing opinion its called being a person.

Wow, someone is moody. lighten up a bit sweetheart, there really isn't much too talk about with the dreamcast. It's like making a discussion thread about the virtual boy. Eventually, It's gonna get derailed simply because you will run out of things to really talk about. And let's face it, this thread is still alive only because I keep bumping it with my loving comments. Take a chill pill and roll with it.
