A life decided all for you, or a life where you decide for yourself?

I would love to be in control, but my life's motto is "What will be, will be," so even if I was in complete control of my life, I probably wouldn't do it anyway.

My deceased granmother always told me this: "If you dont want to do something when you have the chance, you might not have the chance when you want to do it" Seize the day and live without regrets, in the long run human life becomes very very short, so get out there and do something, anything!

Having a life you're given is nice in some ways. You know your purpose, and you don't have to make difficult decisions. Whereas having your own life to lead is more challenging. You make all the decisions. You have to decide your own purpose. Both of these feel like both freedom and a prison at the same time.
