I've gone out with my ex from time to time. I really like her and she really likes me. But at the same time, I don't and she doesn't think we're right for each other. We enjoy each others' company and go out to lunch or dinner on occasion. You can be very fond of a person and go out with them as friends, if you're not comfortable or aren't sure of your feelings of him as a boyfriend/again.

Let me just say this, they're your ex for a reason, you just have to remember why, and if that reason has changed then give it a shot, that is until and if they present a new reason to become an ex.
