What girl would date me?

I don't think it's that uncommon to be 24 and still living at home if you're going to school. Not everyone magically moves out at 18 for school and does the dorm thing even if it's considered more of a social norm these days. 5'8 and 142 huh? Damn, I wish I was that thin. I'm 5'8 and 185 so I'm carrying a little more extra baggage then I should be, but I'd be a twig if I lost 40+ pounds. Every body structure is being different though. You're definitely not overweight my friend. The best thing someone in your boat can at their age is just get out and be social. Maybe once you're done with school, look into moving out and finding an apartment with a couple of friends. I'm 33, live by myself (with my dumb cat), and haven't had what I'd consider a serious relationship in about 3+ years. Dated several, but nothing ever came of things after a few weeks once the girl got to know me and see what I was about (a gamer) which usually put me on their ignore list and/or friend zone. You're still young enough to where it's not THAT uncommon being single. My biggest problem is most otaku girls I know are WELL under 25 and a lot of women around my age already have kids or a lot of emotional and social baggage.

One day you will eventually find your someone. But I do have to tell you, being down and hard on yourself and pulling the whole "pity me" act ain't attractive. Girls don't like that. Infact they hate it. We want a man that knows what he wants and has confidence. Not someone saying "Oh well, guess I am not gonna ever find someone. Dont care." If you don't care then why you join a dating site? Just stating facts bro.

Why is it ok for women to say that stuff all the time? And if a guy says it once he is looked down upon? That makes no sense. So basically we are not allowed to be emotional when we need to be, but women can do it all the time. Is that what I understand?

Because society has this annoying mindset that men are supposed to be tough and void of feelings, whereas women are supposed to be helpless and emotional. But I'll be honest, I think I'm beginning to understand why so many otaku males love 2D girls.

Don't be bummed man. You can live a happy single life. Many ppl are, you can as well. I too have no woman for that matter, and like you I tend to be insecure and lack confidence as well. I never even had a GF not once in my 25(will be 26 soon) years of existence. I learned not to worry about it, since it's more of a want than a need. Be focused on your goals,needs and hobbies. A woman is nothing important. It was tough for me as well, wondering if I'll ever find someone, but eventually I learned how to live with it. Lemme ask you something, what is it you LOVE to do? Something that makes you happy and take your mind off of things?

Be strongly focused on those. The things you love to do. You know, don't worry so much about finding someone, don't put yourself down for not having a GF. You'll only hurt yourself more and more. I understand you get those feelings of wanting love, but maybe you can try and convert those feelings into something more positive. That or talk to someone about it. Do you have anyone to count on for when your feeling blue? Also your not alone. Alot of us are in the same spot as well.

I do, but I don't really like talking to anyone about this with my friends, or family I mean I love them, but they don't really give the best advice. Or maybe they do and I don't understand. And thanks man. I just wish that people today can be more sincere and kind about things. People nowadays are assholes about everything. They want to be asses when you want them to help, but when it is the other way around they want help.
