The curse of an evil witch turns a plain young hat-maker, Sophie, into an old woman. Sophie runs away to confront the witch and become young again when she rescues a trapped animated scarecrow.

Set in a post-apocalyptic city called Paradigm City, where all of its inhabitants appear to have lost all their memories after a tragedy known as “The Event”. The city is governed by the Paradigm Corporation, and class inequity is evident.

The series was directed by Kyoda Tomoki and is produced by Studio Bones, known for the production of many hits such as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and Boku no Hero Academia. In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally.

In the year 2082, Earth is already involved in intergalactic activities, and is in bad terms with the Crogs. The Avatar – a mysterious and powerful entity – stops the hostilities between Earth and the Crogs, in exchange for Earth’s participation at the next Great Race Ouban.

On his first day at his new school, twelve-year-old Ritsuka Aoyagi meets a mysterious twenty-year-old male named Soubi Agatsuma. Soubi claims to be a good friend of Ritsuka's brother, Seimei, who was murdered when Ritsuka was ten years old.

As a child, Naruto is isolated from the Konoha community, who regards him as if he was the Nine-Tails.
