The film begins with the awakening of Bills, the God of Destruction. As he has his breakfast, his valet Whis enquires as to why he has awoken ahead of his schedule.

An angry, tired, and irrational God of all destruction has appeared to challenge a cast of this franchise's most iconic characters! Dragon Ball Super follows the aftermath of Goku's incredibly fierce battle against Majin Buu as he tries to maintain the fragile peace that exists on Earth.

Goku is back with his new son, Gohan, but just when things are getting settled down, the adventures continue. Whether he is facing enemies such as Frieza, Cell, or Buu, Goku is proven to be an elite of his own and discovers his race, Saiyan and is able to reach Super Saiyan 3 form.

After enduring trials that would have crushed any other soul, Goku is now faced with the most important journey of his life. The Black Star Dragon Balls have been scattered to the ends of creation!
