This show is set at Honn0ji Academy, a fictional high school in post-apocalyptic Japan that is dominated by its fearsome student council, led by Satsuki Kiryuin. The council members wear special uniforms called Goku Uniforms that grant them superhuman abilities, which they use to oppress the rest of the school's students and staff.

Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy, cynical about life and just wanting to be left alone. But his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, leaving his homeless 17 year old girlfriend Mamimi behind.

Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who believes that an international scientific organization named SERN is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Itaru Hashida inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past.

The story of Jujutsu Kaisen is set in a world where Cursed Spirits feed on unsuspecting humans and fragments of the legendary and feared demon Ryomen Sukuna have been lost and scattered about. Should any curse consume Sukuna's body parts, the power they gain could destroy the world as we know it.
