Saotome Ranma, a teenage martial artist, and his father Genma travel to the 'cursed training ground' of Jusenkyo in China. There, despite the warnings of the Chinese guard, they fall into the cursed springs.

Ranma Saotome (and others) is cursed to turn into a girl (or other animals, depending which cursed pool they fell in) when splashed with cold water. The only way to temporarily reverse the curse is to get splashed with hot water.

Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It was recently adapted into an anime on netflix.
