The story of Death Note revolves around a high school student called Yagami Light. His life changed when he saw a supernatural notebook that fell from the sky.

Thor and his twin brother, Rai, are cast off to a forsaken planet by unknown masked men after witnessing the suspicious death of their parents. Given only a beam knife and a smelly satchel, they wander together in search of civilization on the primarily plant based world.

The story is set on the far future, where human enhancement is possible through integrating machines to one’s living cells. After a long period of war, the winning mechanized samurai proceed to banditry, and continuously terrorize the small villages in the countryside.

The game is set at a special, elite high school called Kibagamine Academy (lit. Hope's Peak Academy) which only accepts students of the highest caliber in various fields.

The series was directed by Kyoda Tomoki and is produced by Studio Bones, known for the production of many hits such as Wolf’s Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, and Boku no Hero Academia. In Japan, it is known as Psalms of the Planet: Eureka Seven, and is stylized simply as Eureka Seven internationally.

The world of Blue Exorcist consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah.
