The Dragon Ball Super manga picks up the story of Goku and his adventures following the defeat of Majin Buu, but prior to the final chapters involving the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. While an adaptation of Toriyama's outline, it has many storyline differences when compared to the two most-recent Dragon Ball Z movies and the Dragon Ball Super anime.

Bulma is a girl in search of the mystical dragonballs that when brought together grant any wish. In her search she bumps into the owner of one of these balls, a strange boy named Goku.

One day, a flood of magical cards rained down from the sky and were collected by unsuspecting children. Unaware of the great power of the cards, the children created an exciting new game called Bakugan Battle Brawlers - but once they began to play it, they discovered that the monsters were real!
