With Majin Boo defeated, peace returns to Earth, where Son Goku and his friends now live peaceful lives. However, a new threat appears in the form of Beerus, the God of Destruction.

Ash is a young boy who has always dreamed of becoming a Pokemon trainer. At age 11 he is gifted his first Pokemon, Pikachu, from Professor Oak.

Dr. Fuji, a research scientist of Team Rocket, briefly describes in a prologue how his researchers uncovered a fossil of the remnants of Mew, one of the rarest Pokémon in existence, believed to be extinct (although this is not the case).

In a slowly decaying world, a small ray of hope takes form as an old legend. According to the tale, when the world’s end finally arrives, the gates of Paradise will open, and there everyone can live peacefully.
