During an excavation at a mysterious ruin within the Clow Kingdom, young archeologist Syaoran is surprised by the presence of his childhood friend and Clow’s princess, Sakura. She appears with wings, which disintegrates and takes her memories with it.

The Dark Brings – stones that contain corrupted power – ignite a destructive war between the forces of good and evil. Left with no choice and faced against the ever-growing power of evil, a swordsman uses the holy power known as the Rave in an attempt to destroy the Dark Brings.

The story is based around 11-year-old Saga Bergmann, a young girl in a small German town called Muhlenberg (based on real town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber). Saga lives with her grandmother Regina and works in a coffee shop when not in school.
