Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who believes that an international scientific organization named SERN is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Itaru Hashida inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past.

The series focuses on the romantic tension between the oblivious military-minded Sousuke Sagara and the beautiful Kaname Chidori. Set in their school Jindai High, the couple is up for various crazy and hilarious misunderstandings, often caused by Sousuke’s ignorance.

In 2015 huge, tremendously powerful alien war machines return to Tokyo. The only hope for Mankind's survival lies in the Evangelion, a humanoid fighting machine developed by NERV, a special United Nations agency.

Last Order continues from Volume 9 of Battle Angel Alita', but diverges from the original ending. It ignores the transformation of Ketheres into a nanotechnological space flower, Alita's subsequent transformation into a flesh-and-blood human girl and her reunion with Figure.

The backbone of Mithril’s operations rely on the Whispered, a group of exemplary and intelligent individuals, responsible for the invention and production of powerful machinery.

To Sousuke Sagara, undercover high school student and member of the mercenary group Mithril, life in Tokyo seemed the same as always. But underneath the promising exterior spin the wheels of a conspiracy that threatens to destroy the peace.
