Taneyamagahara no Yoru [Special]

This 27 minute of work was released as a special bundled with the DVD release Ged Senki: Tales from Earthsea. This work is based on a play written by Kenji Miyazwa in 1924 for his students. The play is about four people sitting on a cold dark night on the Taneyamagahara Plateau, waiting for the morning to arrive so that they can cut the grass. What makes this play so special is that the entire work is presented in the form of a montage of hand drawn water coloured images – giving the entire play a vintage feel.
