Land of the Lustrous [TV]

In a future world ravaged by six meteors, beings known as Gems inhabit the remnants, each tasked with roles to defend against the Lunarians, who seek to capture them for ornamental purposes.

Phosphophyllite, or Phos, is a young, brittle Gem yearning to contribute to their comrades’ fight. However, due to their fragility, they are assigned to create an encyclopedia. While initially resistant, Phos encounters Cinnabar, a brilliant Gem isolated due to their toxic abilities, during this task. Recognizing Cinnabar’s despair, Phos vows to discover a fulfilling role for both outcasts. “Houseki no Kuni” chronicles Phos’ quest for purpose and the defense of their kin.
