Oof! Holiday break can't get here fast enough. Some days I feel like a zombie from staying up all night having to crunch on work and studies. I might need to start buying stronger coffee.

My mother is in the hospital with a psuedohernia. They're trying everything they can before surgery because it's a very risky scenario with all her other health problems. So I won't be on for a few days.

Got some new plants from Walmart. Some I got from my former neighbor's home did not recover from being dug out of the ground. They were a bit rough on the root damage. So I picked up some replacements of those specific plants. Some Sunflowers, tickseed, petunias and tenias.

I mean I guess the bigger question to ask is really what is the point of this AI to begin with? I mean the image generation technology has come a long way and produces great results when used correctly. Pretty much the same as some people make great stuff with pencils and others just make stick figures. But aside from this, I am seeing a feedback loops down the road with all of this. If we just keep automating everything including exercise of artistic and reading skills even for just idle hobby purposes to a few buttons to presses, no jobs or meaningful artistic endeavors, then what are humans to do with themselves? If the AI is doing all this labor to sustain us, beings who are just doing less and less, what is the point of them being made in the first place? Especially if you want to factor in potential sentience of these AI in the future, they are essentially tools or slaves laboring for no real purpose. So we will just go back to where we started, possibly picking berries just for ourselves just as an excuse to do something for ourselves. Or maybe a Deus Ex situation. If robots become sentient and we have to give them civil rights as intelligent people, doesn't that negate the point of making them to replace human labor? I really think sometimes I should have been born Amish.
