Hello there!!
vigeorae
Stellalina... I don't know if that comment was to the actual post of serial killer crap or towards Ryujin but please straighten it out please due to the fact that was an incredible insensitive depending on the direction it was meant for. Thank you.

Ryujin, you can hold and love them because when you volunteered to protect your country, knowing full well that while you were signing that contract, you may have to do horrible things to other human beings. You did it for a reason.... everyone has their own reason. Those in the military have a terrifying and difficult job. Some of them, depending on their occupation, it's kill or be killed in a split second. They have to kill someone so they can stay alive and continue with their duty as a soldier. I have watched the results of an ex-military friend for the last ten years. Whether he has ptsd, he won't say. All I have seen is at first when he came back it was difficult adjusting to civilian life. He says he still has rare nightmares, talks about them every once in a while. But he says he keeps reminding himself that he knew what was going to happen when he joined. He told me that he knew he would become a "murderer". He would kill the enemy to protect not only his country and its people, but the people in that foreign land, who were being beaten, raped, tortured, oppressed, sold into slavery.. he would fight for them, for they could do nothing themselves. As he says, "I did it for the greater good and I would do it all over again". Cops do a similar thing, they go out everyday to protect their community, knowing full they may have to take a life that they don't want to take away. But that doesn't make them a serial killer. A serial killer is by definition, a person that kills three or more people, in a thirty day period with time in between each murder.. BUT the serial killers motivation is due to psychological issues. There's a major difference between killing someone for sport and the people who volunteered and then were ordered to protect their country at any costs. The feeling that your hands are stained with human blood, honestly, in my eyes is a good thing. Not that it happened, but that you have a heart and you feel guilt about it. Whether you will be able to wash it away, no one knows. No ornamental words will change the past of murdering someone. Repent or not, it's something you have to figure out for yourself. Just remember, that you fought for something that gave you scars and you can never change it. All you can do is embrace it, keep it engraved on your heart and keep moving forward.
