Depends I was close to making the down payment this last year but I was short 5 grand :S, most of the places I'm looking at are around 50k but downpayment wise I'm limiting myself to 10-15k need to have atleast 10k for me to live off of haha

Nice, not really sure how fios compares to comcast but I'm sure it's pretty good, and I've calmed down a bit, but I really do need my own land haha been aiming for that for years but I haven't gotten there yet :[

I got mine from ibuypower.com they have a lot of discounts right now and they have a lot of options for building your own pc. It's a pretty reputable place.

I would say limit yourself to 1000, you can get a really great custom pc for that price like mine. It's not top of the line but it's certainly above average in all categories, so it will be able to handle pretty much anything I throw at it.

That's a little much man, even if you get all the top of the line parts, if you assemble them yourself it will be almost 1000 less, either way just make sure to include an OS xD don't make the same mistake I did haha
