About me? Well I suppose I should be real here, as I think anime-lovers all kind of have the same interests and I think this is the best place to look for others like me so I guess I should begin here.
For the girls (or the curious dude) reading this, thanks in advance! It means a lot to me that some people are willing to go beyond looks alone and actually read about what makes a person tick. Now I won't go very in-depth into myself, because of course, private stuff, but I'll try to be very general and sort of put myself out there.
So to start things off, I'm an amateur writer, hence why my personal info is a bit beefy and I hope to make a living writing books or by becoming a journalist for some kind of news organization (my geeky/nerd side wants me to write for Game Informer, or work at Rooster Teeth). I'd like to think I'm fairly creative, able to come up with storylines if given the time and I take pride in my creations. I started with fanfiction, but I am now currently working on an original fiction story that I hope to get published when it's done. Do note that me being a writer does kinda make me have a bit of a tendency for grammar, even when it comes to texts/messages/IMs, so please bare with me if I ask you to not use leet speak or something.
Outside of writing, I love anime of course. Kind of the point I'm here really. I got started with normal things like Naruto and Bleach, but slowly started getting into more and more. On top of the two I listed before, I love One Piece, Deadman Wonderland, Gurren Laagann, FLCL, Kill La Kill, Another Psycho Pass and a lot more that I can't remember. I do find myself reading a lot of manga as well, main ones being Fairy Tail and World Trigger.
My love for the drawn art spans the Pacific Ocean however as I absolutely LOVE comic books. I would say I am largely a Marvel fan who occasionally dabbles in some Batman, but for the most part love Marvel. Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Punisher, all great heroes in my book.
It'd be a bit cliche at this point to say that I like video games as well, but I would like to add that I'm not super into them. I don't have any of the current generation consoles (PS4/XB1/WiiU) and tend to stick to PC games. Games I do tend to play are Payday 2, Hotline Miami, League of Legends and Awesomenauts to name a few. I'm not into super into hyper-violence, nor do I have the patience for long drawn out RPG's however, I swear it's like reading a book with those things.
Music wise I'd say I'm an amalgamation of genres. To name some key ones I'd say, Rap, R&B, Rock, Alternative and Electro/Dubstep. I figure that to go with this, my favorite musical artists in todays age are Eminem and Fall Out Boy. I understand that some people have certain musical interests and that mine would possibly put you off, but please, I'm very accepting and I don't 'hate' any genre, nor will I push mine on you.
Personality wise, I'd say that I have some sarcastic humor and humor from a variety of places and things that I watch. I'm not racist, nor do I belittle any other sexuality. I'm a bit shy, but upon constant nagging from a friend, I'm trying to put myself out there more, so I guess you could say that I could throw myself into situations when nagged about it, especially when it's something I know is good for me. I try to be patient and understanding with people and I have a good hold over my emotions.
I could say a million things about my personality, but I honestly would rather have someone talk to me. I'm looking for a good relationship with someone who understands (or at least wants to try to understand me) and I can try and do the same for them. When I set my mind on something I really try hard to chase it, and when I find someone I can be very tender and loving. If you've read this massive wall of text and have gotten to this point, all I have to say is congrats, I've laid bare my soul to you heh.
